Synopsis
Falsely accused and forced to marry into the Bei Qin kingdom, Princess Li Yaoying flees. During her escape, she seeks protection from Luo Jia, the Buddhist ruler of the Liang kingdom, by proposing marriage to him.
The two form an alliance to help Liang and Gaochang join forces. Under the escort of Prince Regent Su Dangu, Yaoying gradually discovers the gentleness beneath his cold mask and falls for him.
Ultimately, Luo Jia, who has long been bound by his duty as a Buddhist ruler, leaves his religious life for love. He breaks free from the chains of faith and spends the rest of his days with Yaoying amid the chaos of war.
