Synopsis
At the age of seven, Zhu Xiaoying (Emma Doyle) drank poison in place of Xu Feimo (Stephen Grayson), leaving her mind forever frozen in childhood. Years later, on her way to fulfill a marriage promise, she mistakenly ends up in the bridal sedan of the provincial governor, Xu Fengqing (Dylan Everett).
What began as a wedding mix-up slowly becomes the gentlest turning point in her life. He flies kites with her, builds her a swing, searches everywhere for a cure, and patiently teaches her to write her own name stroke by stroke.
