Synopsis
In her previous life, Meng Yao (Violet Belle) placed her trust in Prince Jin, Mo Jingzhao, only to bring ruin upon her family and die filled with regret and hatred. Reborn ten days before her wedding, she is determined to rewrite her fate. To escape the doomed marriage, she joins forces with Emperor Mo Juncheng (Alistair Laurent). Though the engagement remains intact, the emperor gradually falls for her.
On the wedding day, Lin Miaomiao repeatedly schemes against Meng Yao, but each attempt is thwarted by Mo Juncheng’s protection. Later, Mo Jingzhao falsely accuses the Meng family of colluding with the enemy, only to be exposed at the victory banquet when the supposedly dead Young General Meng returns alive and reveals the truth. To save himself, Mo Jingzhao gives up his noble title, while Lin Miaomiao takes the blame and is imprisoned. Before her death, she leaves behind a curse written in blood, but Meng Yao responds fearlessly: “My fate is mine to command, not heaven’s.”
Still unwilling to surrender, Mo Jingzhao plots a coup, but the emperor and empress turn his scheme against him and expose everything. Consort Lin repeatedly attempts assassination and false accusations, yet all her plans are crushed.
In the end, Mo Jingzhao is sentenced to death, and Consort Lin is stripped of her title. Meng Yao changes her destiny, protects her family, and wins the emperor’s unwavering love and trust. Crowned as empress, she stands beside her husband to usher in a golden age and is later remembered as “The Greatest Empress of Great Qing,” a woman who truly seized control of her own fate.
