
MANILA, Philippines — The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary election returns (ERs) are now 97.79 percent, as of Tuesday morning, Sept. 15, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) reported.
Based on the Comelec’s real time updates for the BARMM polls on its official website, it received 5,097 ERs, as of 5:30 a.m. There are 5,212 clustered precincts in 1,186 polling centers across the region.
The transmission of results, however, in Maluso, Basilan, is expected to be completed by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, as elections in the municipality will resume at 7 a.m. after some ballots were reportedly compromised, according to Comelec.

Early Monday, the poll body opened the official voting for the first-ever BARMM elections after four postponements to formally elect the 80-member seat parliament. /cb
