Kapunan: Baste Duterte’s confession a failure of ‘due diligence’

MANILA, Philippines — The admission of Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte that he was unaware his sister, Vice President Sara Duterte, holds an interest in GenCorp Industries Inc. amounted to a “confession.” The remark came from private prosecutor Lorna Kapunan who on Tuesday also argued that it revealed his failure to exercise “due diligence.”
