Min-hwan’s Mother Knew Exactly What Kang-wook and Yeo-ri’s Marriage Meant

As most of the problems for Kang-wook and Yeo-ri have been solved, nothing stops them from expressing their love to each other. When the engagement ceremony takes place, both Kang-wook and Yeo-ri appear very comfortable and embrace the fact that they are going to be together very happily. Even their family members appeared content, especially the grandmothers. However, even in their happy moment, one secret was exposed to the audience.

Min-hwan’s mother already knew Yeo-ri would be the one getting married to Kang-wook. This means that she understands what the connotation of this relationship is. Her son, Ji-hwan, loved Yeo-ri, and after he lost his life, his heart went to the man who would now get married to the same girl. Even though she understood the bizarreness of this situation, she tried to look past that and did not reveal anything to anyone.

Yeo-ri Can Barely Enjoy Her Engagement as Trouble Follows Her

This episode was mostly about the problems that Yeo-ri started to face after she got engaged. First of all, the shareholders are already not in favour of her because of all the rumours surrounding her. On top of that, her own family members started to conspire against her. In normal circumstances, she could have handled such a situation. However, things became problematic for her after Min-hwan joined in on that conspiracy.

He also began to target Yeo-ri in the hopes that she would come back to him. This was very unlikely to happen. Yet, his obsession amounted to enough problems for Yeo-ri that she stayed mostly away from her would-be husband. She became so busy with her work and securing her future that both Kang-wook and Yeo-ri hardly had time to meet each other. This obviously did not mean they did not showcase their love. Kang-wook did his best to help her out whenever she needed, and that element of the relationship was something that was definitely very endearing.

Min-hwan’s Actions on the Yacht Raise Troubling Questions About Ji-hwan’s Death

Yeo-ri’s past showcased that Min-hwan was not actually a very villainous character. When he realised his brother was also in love with Yeo-ri, he initially did not try to come between them. However, something happened on the yacht, which caused an accident and had both Ji-hwan and Yeo-ri fall into the water. Weirdly enough, the pendant that was supposed to save Ji-hwan ended up in Min-hwan’s hands. He also denied having it when Yeo-ri asked for it. Min-hwan might not have killed his brother, but he most likely did not even try to save him.

Even though Yeo-ri has no memory of what actually happened then, she will most likely remember it soon.

Final Thoughts

As this episode mostly focused on the office politics Yeo-ri is facing, there was not much else to explore. Romance-wise, we only got a few brief moments, along with one interesting development involving Kang-wook’s grandmother. Apart from that, there was not much happening. Yeo-ri is currently in a pretty hopeless situation, but things are expected to pick up for her in the next episode.
