Cheng Qingye, on the verge of marriage, discovers that her fiancé has been unfaithful. For the sake of her critically ill mother and the five years they’ve spent together, she suppresses her anger and pain, but the emotional turmoil leaves her suffering from insomnia. Seeking relief, she visits a traditional Chinese medicine clinic, where she meets Yu Song. In a moment of vulnerability and impulse, she boldly suggests a one-night encounter. Unbeknownst to her, Yu Song has known her for a long time and uses the guise of treatment to quietly protect and care for her.
Under Yu Song’s gentle guidance, Cheng Qingye gradually finds the courage to stand up for herself. On her wedding day, she publicly exposes Lv Xudong’s true nature, breaking free from the relationship. As they go through these trials together, the bond between Cheng Qingye and Yu Song deepens. Eventually, Yu Song’s true identity is revealed—he is the younger boy Cheng Qingye once protected in her childhood.
