Synopsis
Meng Nanxi (Claire Grant), the wealthy heiress of the Meng family in Jingdu, runs away from home after clashing with her father in order to care for her boyfriend, Xue Hebai (Alexander Hayes), who became deaf and mute after a car accident. She disguises herself as congenitally deaf and mute and stays by his side for three years, working multiple jobs to earn money for his treatment.
However, after recovering, Xue Hebai grows resentful of his past life with a disability and feels ashamed of having a “deaf-mute” girlfriend. He soon becomes entangled with the ill-intentioned Wang Shuya and begins to neglect and hurt Meng Nanxi.
Heartbroken and disillusioned, Meng Nanxi finally lets go. She breaks up with Xue Hebai, follows her family’s arrangements to study abroad, and later finds love with Ye Mingchuan (Nicholas Carter), returning to her rightful life as a cherished heiress and embracing true happiness.
