Kaizer Chiefs will shake up their squad at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. Who’s in and who’s out at Naturena?
Chiefs target ex-Sundowns man Margeman?
Siwelele midfield Grant Margeman’s agent hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a move for his client this winter.
“There’s nothing with Chiefs at the moment. Maybe they are still coming. If it has to happen, it will happen; we won’t close the door. But for now, he is contracted to Siwelele, so they (Chiefs) know what to do,” Masegela told the Siya crew.
Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby
Sunday, 26 April, is the day that Pirates host Chiefs in this season’s final Soweto Derby. Pirates will be back in second place if leaders Sundowns beat Stellenbosch on Wednesday. Either way, it’s must-win for the Sea Robbers. Kickoff from FNB Stadium is at 15:00. The match will be aired on DSTV channel 202.
Kaizer Chiefs add Mabuza to the wish list
Local reports suggest that 25-year-old defender Mhleli Mabuza is top of Chiefs’ shopping list. The right-back has been with Portuguese side O Elvas after leaving third-tier outfit Amora SC. His short-term deal expires in June. This comes hot off the heels of rumours linking the club with Sekhukhune’s Bright Ndlovu, who moved to Babina Noko in 2024. Thabo Moloisane is a long-standing target after a string of impressive displays for Stellenbosch FC, where he’s an indispensable first-team regular. Interest in defenders isn’t a surprise, given long-term injuries sustained by Rushwin Dortley and Given Msimango, as well as Inacio Miguel’s questionable defensive record. It’s widely expected that interim co-coaches Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef will move on at the end of the season when the club looks for a permanent boss.
