Xu Yi (Olivia Greene) is an orphan who, after a one-night stand at a wedding, discovers she is pregnant. Having grown up without any family, she decides to keep the child and raise it on her own. To make ends meet, Xu Yi takes on all kinds of part-time jobs without hesitation. When she comes across a high-paying job posting for a male nanny, she disguises herself as a man and applies without a second thought.
Unexpectedly, her employer turns out to be Gu Xun (Robert Prescott)—the man she had that one-night encounter with five years ago. As they spend time together, feelings gradually grow between them. However, their relationship is tested by numerous misunderstandings and challenges. They both hesitate and retreat at times, and are even misled by lies, but in the end, they come to understand their true feelings, learn to be brave, and choose to run toward each other.
