Yhwach’s Almighty May Have Just Saved Orihime From Her Death

Just like we theorised in a previous article, Orihime was not dead in this episode. She actually managed to come back along with Yhwach. Yhwach himself explains his powers in detail in this episode. The Almighty is not just something with which one can see the future. One can also alter all the different possible futures that could happen. If Yhwach wills it, he can select one possibility among the endless possibilities to suit him without missing a beat. That’s how broken his ability is. This essentially makes him a being who is above every single character in Bleach from the perspective of power.

Thus, he literally changed the future where he dies with Orihime. Thankfully, this also brought Orihime back to life even though she was heavily injured in this episode. Honestly, this was a good thing to happen because the moment this episode begins, Ichigo also readies himself to take the place of the Soul King. He literally would have remained captured for all eternity if that happened. Now, even though there is despair, at least the main characters might not be dead or sacrificed anymore.

Yhwach at His Most Brutal Yet

After Yhwach comes back, he wastes no time in showing Ichigo that whatever he does will only cause him hopelessness from here on. He definitely brings Orihime back, but in a battered state. On top of that, he completely rips Renji to shreds, which becomes one of the most disturbing scenes of Bleach ever. Not only that, but he also toys with every other character and even breaks Ichigo’s brand-new Tensa Zangetsu with nothing but his bare hands.

While Yhwach literally stomps on his friends, Ichigo does nothing but look on in utter despair. This section was the hardest to watch, but at the same time it elevates Bleach from a shonen to a series that is not afraid of showing brutality.

Uryu’s Emotional Battle With Jugram Takes a Surprising Turn

This episode was mostly about Uryu and his conflict with Jugram. From the beginning, we get to see how their fight goes on and what is at stake for both of them. Jugram is operating on extreme devotion towards Yhwach, while Uryu is there to fight for the protection of his friends. There even comes a point when Uryu gets asked if risking his life for the shallow humans was worth it.

Jugram also questions him about why he was willing to go to such lengths just to protect his friends. To which Uryu replies that if his friends are fools for protecting each other, he is happy to be compared to them. This showed that even though Uryu remains the calm one, he is willing to sacrifice himself just like his friends.

Their fight was interesting to watch, and it was fast-paced even though it had a lot of dialogue between the two. The shift within Jugram was also fascinating. It proved that he was obviously devoted to Yhwach, but at the same time he somehow understood Uryu’s desperation to save his friends. Perhaps he saw a bit of himself within Uryu.

Final Thoughts

If the previous episode symbolised sacrifice, this one symbolises anguish.  Here, Ichigo cannot do anything other than just see everything get destroyed. At this point, he has done all, and there is nothing more he could do. However, we all know that Aizen is yet to come, and most likely, his entry would be in the next episode.
