Police in Mueang Chai Nat were called yesterday, August 18, after a drunk man was found lying naked on a footpath in front of homes in the town. The man later said he had removed his clothes because he felt hot after drinking.
A patrol reached the scene and found a 61 year old asleep on the pavement. Officers spent some time trying to wake him. When he came round, he was disoriented, and at first would not put his clothes back on because he was still drunk.
Amarin TV reported that it took about 10 minutes before the naked man managed to get his trousers on, after which police gave him water and had him wash his face. Beside him, officers found a motorcycle with a sidecar carrying a hoe and a spade, two bottles of liquor, and some food and fruit.

The man told police he had come to take on grass-cutting work in Mueang Chai Nat, about 30 kilometres from his home. He had been drinking throughout the day, and after finishing the job he carried on drinking and rode around the town before stopping to rest and drink more because he was unfit to ride.
He then collapsed and slept for a while, and removed all his clothing because he felt hot and wanted to be comfortable.
Seeing that he was in no state to ride home, a nearby homeowner kindly let him rest until he had recovered enough to make the journey.

Elsewhere, back in February, park visitors in Chachoengsao province were interrupted when police were called over reports of a man walking around naked inside park grounds. The man reportedly claimed his clothes had been stolen.
