CEBU CITY, Philippines – Mt. Kanlaon in Negros Island on Thursday, July 9, erupted, state volcanologists confirmed. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) confirmed that a moderate explosive eruption occurred at Kanlaon, which ended around 7:36 a.m. No immediate reports of casualties yet as of this writing.
