MANILA —The Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday that all security measures are in place for the country’s 128th Independence Day celebration on Friday. While no validated threats have been monitored, PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that strategic deployments and local government coordination are in place to guarantee a peaceful nationwide celebration.
