Reigning FilOil EcoOil Preseason Cup champion Jose Rizal University (JRU) lived up to its billing as one of the favorites in the Cebu City Collegiate Invitational Basketball Tournament, cruising to a 78-65 victory over host Benedicto College (BC) in the opening game on Thursday, August 6, at the Cebu City Sports Institute Gym in Barangay Sawang Calero.
