Tagusari Bros Episode 7 Review

What happens to Ono?
The episode opens with Ono’s death, and it completely shocks us because he was the suspect, but now he is not alive anymore. Makoto goes to find that Ono had jumped from a building and concludes that he did it voluntarily. However, Minoru is not sure of that. He went to the building from where this incident took place and concluded that there is a high chance that he was pushed.
Makoto absolutely does not believe in that and becomes quite annoyed with both Minoru and Kudo, who decide to investigate the case as a possible homicide. Kudo even goes to Agatsuma to inquire whether he was involved in this case or not. However, there is one thing that is very common between all these people. They went to the same therapist that Makoto went to express his sad feelings.
Why does Minoru go to the therapist as well?

Minoru gets to know from Kudo that his brother had been frequently visiting the therapist and acting weird. He decides to go himself and see what the case is. After getting there, he also kind of gets overwhelmed by the manipulative techniques of Sayoko, who tries to make Minoru emotionally vulnerable as well. However, she could not do it, because before that, he had tricked her into getting out of the room. He then inspects her phone and sees the same app from which messages could get deleted. This showcased that she, too, was somehow involved with all these murders.
Did Minoru manage to convince Makoto about the therapist?
They continue investigating the notebook Tsuda left behind and become further involved in the conspiracy surrounding it. During this, Minoru helps Makoto realise that the therapist is their common enemy and even encourages him to speak out against her. Meanwhile, the investigation into the murder of Makoto and Minoru’s parents takes some unexpected turns. There is also a strong possibility that Mogi may betray the brothers’ trust and interfere with their search for the truth.

How much was Sayoko involved in the murders?
Slowly, evidence comes up that Sayoko was actually very much involved in the murders, and she was really to blame for everything that had happened to all her patients or victims. She manipulated them and put the idea of murder in them, even though they didn’t want to commit a crime in the first place. She also justified the slayings in their mind.
Was she apprehended?
Makoto finally gets over the fact that he sought Sayoko and goes to arrest her. He also provides very good evidence to get to her and proves that she’s the one who would manipulate her patients into taking revenge.

What worked and what did not work?
The mystery in this case was quite good, especially because it was surprising to learn that the therapist was the mastermind behind everything. However, the storyline involving the parents’ murder feels a little stretched out. Even so, I am still curious to see how the series will reveal and connect the larger mystery in the end.
