Synopsis
The story follows Lin Zhanqiao, a 35-year-old high school teacher, and He Han, a single father and investment banker.
Their emotional connection develops through clashes in educational philosophy at parent-teacher meetings and collaboration on work projects, showcasing the growth of single men and women navigating careers and relationships.
Lin Zhanqiao is an urban elite who owns two properties, earns a million annually, yet refuses a “marriage of convenience,” while He Han, scarred by a past marriage, engages in an equal-footed emotional battle with her.
After overcoming real-world obstacles and conflicts with their original families and traditional beliefs, the two join hands and enter marriage. Lin Zhanqiao’s female friends also each find their own place in life, and together they come to understand the simple truth of love and marriage.
