MANILA, Philippines — The Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) was leading the regional parliamentary political party race in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), followed by the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), based on the partial, unofficial parallel count of the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) late Monday.
As of 11:56 p.m. Monday, BFP had 632,726 votes, or 34.8 percent, while UBJP had 592,346 votes (32.6 percent). The BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC) was in third with 374,053 votes (20.6 percent).
The PPCRV had recorded 1,816,320 total votes from 4,968 of 5,212 precincts, or 95.32 percent of precincts reported.

The PPCRV tally showed the following vote distribution among the regional parliamentary political parties:
- Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP): 632,726 votes (34.8 percent)
- United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP): 592,346 (32.6 percent)
- BARMM Grand Coalition (BGC): 374,053 (20.6 percent)
- Bangsamoro Peoples’ Democratic Party (Rayaat Democratic Party): 66,594 (3.7 percent)
- Progresibong Bangsamoro Party (Pro Bangsamoro Party): 35,685 (2.0 percent)
- Bangsamoro Party (BAPA): 33,045 (1.8 percent)
- Bangsamoro Empowerment and Social Transformation Party (BEST Party): 26,285 (1.4 percent)
- Moro Ako Party: 16,507 (0.9 percent)
- Mahardika Party (Mahardika): 14,196 (0.8 percent)
- Alliance of Bangsamoro Tri-People’s Party (ABOT): 11,145 (0.6 percent)
- People’s Consultative (Mushawara) Party: 7,929 (0.4 percent)
- Indigenous, Settlers, Sama and Minorities Alliance Party (ISAMA): 3,268 (0.2 percent)
- Partido Bangon Bangsamoro (PBB): 2,541 (0.1 percent)

For the regional parliamentary political party race, voters choose a political party rather than an individual candidate. The 40 seats allocated to regional parliamentary political parties are distributed based on each party’s share of the vote, with the party’s nominees filling the seats it wins, according to the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA).
The Commission on Elections said a regional parliamentary political party must secure at least 2.5 percent of the total valid votes cast for all regional parliamentary political parties to qualify for the allocation of the 40 seats. /cb
