
ISABELA CITY, Basilan — The Basilan Provincial Board of Canvassers (PBOC) formally proclaimed on Tuesday afternoon two of the four district representative winners in the province who will sit as members of the Bangsamoro Parliament.
Chaired by provincial election supervisor Atty. Miguel Roberto Dela Peña, the PBOC convened at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall in Isabela City to finalize the vote canvassing.
Rima Hassan was proclaimed the winner for the first parliamentary district after securing 21,933 votes, the official tally showed.

In the second parliamentary district, the board officially declared Paisal Sali the winning representative after the complete canvass of district votes.
The BOC has yet to proclaim the winners in the third and fourth parliamentary districts of Basilan.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) suspended voting in 36 precincts in Maluso, Basilan, after authorities discovered pre-shaded ballots. Polling resumed at 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The 36 precincts accounted for some 16,563 voters. /coa
