The strange premise of this thriller adds intrigue to a story that is based on the webtoon Field Mouse. Directed by Kim Hong-sun, the 10-episode series is full of bizarre twists and turns as Moon-jae, played by Ryu Jun-yeol, sets out to find the elusive criminal known as The Rat, who seems to know exactly who Moon-jae is. With him on this quest is loan shark and private investigator Noja, who hops on the bandwagon to get to the bottom of the shocking mystery and unmask a criminal.
The Whisper Man

Release Date: August 28, 2026
Based on Alex North’s bestselling crime thriller, this crime-thriller film features some extremely heavyweight actors who bring forth a spine-tingling mystery. Following the abduction of his young son, Jake asks his father, retired cop Jake, to help catch the kidnapper. However, they soon realise that the person who claims to be The Whisper Man has been in jail for decades, so who is causing his family duress? What complicates matters is that Pete put the criminal behind bars years ago, and so with their shared history, it’s a race against time to find the young child and, hopefully, heal their strained relationship as well.
The director has mentioned that the most intriguing part of the story, along with the crime elements, will be the exploration of the relationship between a father and a son and what children inherit from their parents. With Robert De Niro, Adam Scott and Michelle Monaghan at its helm, this Netflix thriller will be nothing short of arresting.
